Vaughan blow for Toffees

Everton starlet James Vaughan has been ruled out of action for up to two months.

David Moyes was looking for his young striker to push for a first team place over the coming weeks, but those plans have now had to be shelved.

The 17-year-old picked up a knee problem whilst on international duty with England's Under-19s.

"James twisted his knee during duty with the England Under-19 team," Moyes confirmed.

"After further investigations and a scan he will require a cartilage operation and is likely to be missing for between six to eight weeks."
