Twente lose Niemeyer

Twente midfielder Peter Niemeyer has been ruled out for at least a fortnight.

The 21-year-old played through the pain barrier after picking up a knock against ADO Den Haag, and tests conducted after the match have revealed damage to his knee.

Twente are hopeful he has sustained just bruising and are looking to bring him back for the clash with Heracles on October 2.

"We're trying to get him back on the field before the match against Heracles on October the 2nd," said coach Rini Coolen. "Otherwise we'll aim for the home match against RKC."
