Taylor blames Bellamy
Newcastle's Steven Taylor says Craig Bellamy was at fault for his red card on Sunday.
Newcastle defender Steven Taylor says former team-mate Craig Bellamy was responsible for his sending off against Blackburn on Sunday.Taylor was dismissed in the 3-0 win for two fouls on the Welsh international as Newcastle ended their poor start to the season with their first three point haul.
The match represented the first time Bellamy had faced Newcastle since leaving St James' Park under a cloud in the summer, after he publicly attacked Magpies boss Graeme Souness in a January interview with Sky Sports News.
The stage was set for Bellamy to wreak further havoc against his former employers although he was unable to act as a central protagonist at Ewood Park.
Taylor has now cast him in the role of villain after suggesting he fell easily when having his shirt tugged on 72 minutes, the foul that led to Taylor's dismissal.
"I've no complaints about the first yellow card," said Taylor.
"But the second one was a joke and Bellamy definitely made a meal of it."
