Edwin de Graaf has been informed he can move on from Feyenoord. The midfielder has failed to make the expected progress following his move from RBC Roosendaal in 2004, with the emergence of Sebastian Pardo leading to coach Erwin Koeman overlooking him for selection.
De Graaf has grown frustrated with his situation and the club have ceded to his wish to move on.
A clutch of clubs have already expressed interest in taking de Graaf on loan for the remainder of the season and developments are expected in the near future.
Feyenoord, meanwhile, have been dealt a blow with the news that Alfred Schreuder will be sidelined for a fortnight with a calf problem.
"It looks pretty bad," said Koeman. "It is likely I will miss him for two or three weeks."
