Millers seal Leadbitter deal

Rotherham have landed Sunderland midfield starlet Grant Leadbitter.

The England-Under 19 star has surprisingly failed to make the breakthrough into Sunderland's first team over the past few seasons.

He is now joining Rotherham after training with them for the past few days.

Leadbitter will initially spend a month at Millmoor.

"He is happy just to have the chance of first team football," his representative Ian Elliott explained to skysports.com.

The 19-year-old is out of contract at The Stadium of Light next year and it remains to be seen whether his long-term future will be on Wearside.
