Adriano had been strongly linked with a move away from Inter over the summer with Chelsea and Real Madrid making admiring glances at the powerful striker.
Inter were keen to fend off any interest in Adriano and tie him down to a long-term contract.
The news is a massive boost for Inter boss Roberto Mancini with Adriano establishing himself as the club's most prized asset.
Adriano joked that his new deal at Inter will see him grow old at the club.
"I have signed until 2010. 2010? I will be old with white hair," joked Adriano.
