Brown dealing with Camp

Phil Brown has confirmed that he is dealing with the Lee Camp situation 'in-house'.

The 21-year-old goalkeeper is reported to have fallen out with Brown and that led to coach Kevin Poole making his debut at the age of 42.

Camp, who has been Derby first choice this term, was not even on the bench for the draw with Leicester City on Saturday, as Lee Grant was used as back-up for Poole.

It has been suggested that criticism delivered at Brown and the club, from Camp's father Mick during a radio phone-in, played some role in the goalkeeper being dropped - but the Derby boss has denied this.

"There is a situation there, yes," admitted Brown. "But it will be dealt with in-house.

"But the decision not to have started Lee had been made before any phone calls to radio stations and he wouldn't necessarily have made the bench either."

Meanwhile, Derby have refuted claims by Fabrizio Ravanelli's lawyers that they are not meeting payments agreed as part of the Italian's pay-off.

A winding up order has been threatened by The White Feather, but The Rams insist they are continuing all payments to their former striker.

"We are not aware of any petition being launched to wind up the club from Fabrizio Ravanelli's representatives," said Derby's finance director Andrew MacKenzie.

"The club has every intention of paying the full amount to Fabrizio Ravanelli as soon as possible."
