Ballesteros blasts 'sly' Becks

Sergio Ballesteros claims David Beckham's gamesmanship got him dismissed.

The giant defender was sent off for two yellow cards, the second of which was for a slap on the England skipper right under the referee's nose.

However, whilst confessing his own guilt, Ballesteros insists Beckham goaded him into his misdemeanour with a crafty stamp of his own that went unseen.

"He was more sneaky than me, more sly," blasted the Spaniard.

"His stamp went unnoticed, but my slap was seen by everyone.

"I fell into Beckham's trap and left my team with ten players at the worst moment.

"But it is not easy to play against Beckham as he is very experienced at this kind of thing."
