Johnson set for Sky Blues
West Bromwich Albion's Andy Johnson looks set to join Coventry City on loan.
West Bromwich Albion midfielder Andy Johnson looks set to join Championship side Coventry City on loan. The 31-year-old has made just two Premiership starts for The Baggies this season, as manager Bryan Robson has a number of options in central midfield.
The former Norwich City and Nottingham Forest man, who is in the final year of his West Brom contract, has become a short-term target for Sky Blues boss Micky Adams.
With the Wales international out of favour under Robson, Johnson may welcome a month-long loan away from The Hawthorns in order to get some first team football.
Should Johnson head for The Ricoh Arena, he would become the fourth West Brom player to go on loan to a lower division club.
Midfielder Jason Koumas is at Cardiff City for the season, while goalkeeper Russell Hoult is at Nottingham Forest and Lloyd Dyer is on loan at Queens Park Rangers.
