New blow for Betis full back
Real Betis defender Luis Fernandez faces a month on the sidelines through injury.
Real Betis have been given a boost with the news that an injury to defender Luis Fernandez's is not as serious as first feared.The left back still faces up to a month on the sidelines, but there were fears he had aggravated an old injury which could have seen him missing the majority of the season.
However, it is another setback for the 33-year-old who had recently returned to fitness after a muscle tear that had seen him confined to the treatment room for a month.
Betis are hopeful it will be just another four weeks before he is back in first-team contention.
"We hope that by the fourth week of his recovery he will be ready to play," stated Betis doctor Tomas Calero.
