Doll warns Ziegler
Thomas Doll has challenged Reto Ziegler to win a place in his Hamburg side.
Hamburg boss Thomas Doll has challenged loan signing Reto Ziegler to win a place in his in-form team.The on-loan Tottenham man is currently out of the first-team picture with Hamburg and Doll wants the youngster to up his game.
With midfield pairing Stefan Beinlich and David Jarolim in superb form, Ziegler is currently down Doll's pecking order.
"If someone believes because he has won one or two caps for his country he has become an established player, then he is certainly wrong," declared Doll.
"I will have a chat with Reto and tell him what I do expect from him as he has to improve.
"However, he might be in a difficult situation right now, but he is still a very young player."
