Skopelitis set for Pompey exit
Portsmouth are set to dispense with the services of midfielder Giannis Skopelitis.
Portsmouth are set to dispense with the services of midfielder Giannis Skopelitis, with the Greek international set to return to former club Egaleo in the New Year.
Skopelitis joined Pompey last January on the recommendation of recently departed director of football Velimir Zajec.
However, the 27-year-old has struggled to make an impact at Fratton Park and has just three brief substitute outings to his name so far this campaign.
Pompey manager Alain Perrin admits Skopelitis is some way down the pecking order and believes a parting of the ways would be in both parties' best interests.
Perrin said: "He wants to be playing regularly but he is not one of our main players, so it is not fair to him."
