Real injury woes continue

Real Sociedad's wretched run with injuries is showing no signs of abating.

Real Sociedad's wretched run with injuries is showing no signs of abating after midfielder Gaizka Garitano was ruled out for a further month.

The Basque outfit have been decimated by injuries this term and currently have six first-team players in the treatment room.

Indeed, Garitano himself was only just returning from three weeks on the sidelines, but has now torn his right hamstring and faces another four weeks out of action.

He joins Nihat Kahveci, Jose Javier Barkero, Jeremie Brechet, Juan Dominguez Otaegi and Estefania Oskitz on the casualty list, with the latter three facing long lay-offs.

Sociedad boss Jose Maria Amorrortu (pictured) has yet to have the luxury of picking from a fully fit squad this term, but has seen his side make a solid start to the campaign.

They currently lie eighth in La Primera but Amorrortu will be hoping their fortune, as concerns injury, will soon take a turn for the better.
