Bridge-Wilkinson blow for Bantams

Bradford midfielder Marc Bridge-Wilkinson has had to cut short his return to training.

Bradford midfielder Marc Bridge-Wilkinson has reported pain in his knee on his first day back in training.

The 26-year-old had been influential in The Bantams' fine start to the season, but has been out for five weeks with a knee injury, and now his comeback has been cut short.

The news will come as a massive blow to boss Colin Todd, who was just starting to get all his players back to fitness.

Bridge-Wilkinson will now see a specialist to uncover the cause of the problem.

Midfielder Owen Morrison, meanwhile, has safely returned to training after recovering from a hip injury.

Bradford are currently seventh in League One.
