Serie A giants Udinese have handed a trial to Finnish starlet Niko Ikavalko.

Serie A giants Udinese have handed a trial to Finnish starlet Niko Ikavalko.

The 17-year-old recently arrived at the Stadio Friuli in the hope of impressing Zebrette coach Serse Cosmi (pictured).

The striker is highly-rated in his native Finland and he will now be pulling out all the stops in a bid to win a dream move to the Serie A outfit.

Meanwhile, Cosmi has reassured fans that there is no rift between him and striker David Di Michele.

"I've never hid from confrontation," he declared, "but I do not believe the player behaved badly towards me. He was complaining about his own form, he wasn't having a go at me.

"I have told him to forget his frustrations and focus on playing well."
