Hartig boost for Artmedia

Artmedia Bratislava have received an injury boost ahead of next week's tie with Rangers.

Artmedia Bratislava have received an injury boost ahead of next week's UEFA Champions League tie with Rangers.

The Slovakian minnows were worried that key striker Lukas Hartig would not be fit to play in next Tuesday's encounter.

Hartig picked up a slight groin injury in a weekend league game and Artmedia were fearful the 28-year-old would be ruled out of the Rangers clash.

But the forward suffered no reaction to coming on as a substitute in a midweek cup game and should be fit to face The Gers.

In last week's 0-0 draw at Ibrox, Hartig was a constant nuisance to the Rangers defence and twice came close to scoring.

His availability for the return meeting with the Scottish champions will be a lift to Artmedia as they chase a surprise place in the knockout phase.
