Joey Barton has pledged his future to Man City and believes they are on track for success.
Manchester City ace Joey Barton has pledged his future to the club and has set his sights on helping them to success.Barton has been instrumental in City's fine start to the season and they now sit proudly in fourth place in The Premiership after Monday's win over Aston Villa.
The powerful midfielder's performances have seen him being linked with a number of other clubs and also attract the attention of England boss Sven Goran Eriksson, but Barton is not paying much attention to the rumours and is only concentrating on his football at City.
Barton, who is now under the stewardship of Monte-Carlo based agent Willie McKay, has just over a year to run on his contract and he is pleased at how things are progressing at The City of Manchester Stadium.
"I am not interested in the rumours (linking him with other teams) I love it at City," Barton told skysports.com
"I hear talk of clubs being interested in me, but I am happy where I am.
"I want to help City win some trophies and I believe the club have a big future under Stuart Pearce.
"Stuart is a great manager and we are making great strides forward.
"I want to win something for the fans, they have been great to me and they deserve success."
