Kilmarnock boss Jim Jefferies has warned Rangers they will not get Kris Boyd on the cheap.Boyd has been strongly linked with a move to Rangers after impressing this season at Rugby Park.
The 22-year-old, who has refused to sign a new deal at Killie, is out of contract at the end of the season.
Boyd has invited a move to Rangers, but Jefferies insists he has had no contact with Rangers and if they do want him they will have to meet their valuation of the striker.
"There has been no contact with Rangers and I don't know if there will be any contact with Rangers," said Jefferies.
"If he goes there, though, we will get a fee for him because, if they want him in the transfer window, they'll need to pay for him.
"If they don't pay enough, they won't get him.
"If we get a derisory offer in the transfer window, we would have to turn it down, because he will be a big factor in us trying to get into the top six, there is no doubt about that.
"It will have to be something we are happy with because I don't want to see us forced into a situation where we lose him cheaply."
