Dortmund keen on Frei
Swiss International Alexander Frei has emerged as a transfer target for Borussia Dortmund.
Alexander Frei has been linked with a move to Borussia Dortmund during the January transfer window.The 26-year-old Swiss international striker, who has been in good form for French side Rennes this season, is believed to be the main transfer target for director of sport Michael Zorc.
Dortmund are in the process of looking for a replacement for Czech international striker Jan Koller who has been ruled out for the season with a cruciate ligament injury.
After overcoming a period of financial instability the club have promised to provide coach Bert Van Marwijk with funds for a new striker.
Dortmund have also been linked with a move for Club Brugge's Croatian international Bosko Balaban.
