King fit for Argentine clash
Ledley King has been declared fit for England's friendly clash with Argentina on Saturday.
Ledley King has been declared fit for England's friendly clash with Argentina on Saturday. The Tottenham star had missed training earlier in the week due to concerns over his knee.
However, the Spurs central defender has now come through England's final training session without any reaction.
King is now firmly in contention to start the game in Geneva, although he may again be asked to fill the defensive midfield role he did with great aplomb against Poland last month.
Coach Sven Goran Eriksson was delighted to be taking all 23 members of the squad he named last week.
"It's good news," said Eriksson.
"Everyone is fit and we had a good session.
"It's always important for me to have a fully fit squad to pick from when we have a big game like we do on Saturday.
"The players, the coaches and the staff are all looking forward to it."
