Oliech eager for Nantes chance

Kenyan forward Dennis Oliech has said he cannot wait to join new club Nantes.

The 20-year-old, currently plying his trade in Qatar for Al-Arabi, will play three more games before moving to France.

"I am happy to be going to France. This is what I have been dreaming of all along," he said.

"I am looking forward to learning French. I have just about a month to go and should start learning the language as soon as possible."

The exciting young prospect was under contract with Al-Arabi for three more years, but the club were persuaded to release him for ‚é¼3 million (£2 million) in a deal which will also see them get 30 percent of any future sale.

"I am glad that Al-Arabi have released me. I had several offers from European clubs, but this was the best deal."

Nantes had unsuccessfully attempted to snare Oliech in June, but the deal fell through after the two clubs failed to negotiate terms.
