Beasley blow for PSV

PSV Eindhoven will be without DaMarcus Beasley for their trip to face Schalke.

PSV Eindhoven will be without DaMarcus Beasley for their trip to face Schalke in the UEFA Champions League.

The American winger was ruled out of Saturday's Eredivisie clash with RKC Waalwijk due to a hamstring injury.

Further examinations have revealed that the star will be unavailable when Guus Hiddink's side travel to Germany on Wednesday in a bid to secure their passage to the knockout stages of Europe's premier competition.

The Dutch outfit are still unsure how long the hamstring tear will keep the former Chicago Fire star on the sidelines, but a win without the winger can secure PSV's passage from a competitive Group E.
