Royals snap up Dobson

Reading have completed the loan signing of Brentford defender Michael Dobson.

Dobson was made available for loan on Wednesday so that he could remain match-sharp after losing his place in The Bees' first team this season.

And Reading have taken the opportunity to bring the highly rated 24-year-old to The Madejski Stadium for the next couple of months.

Dobson, who was appointed club captain for the season at Brentford, will now be with The Royals until the start of February.

The deal was finalised in the nick of time, with Thursday being the deadline day for loan transfers in The Football League.

Reading also announced that they have cancelled the registration of winger Darren Campbell.
