More woe for Ryan

Doncaster Rovers defender Tim Ryan will not be returning in the near future.

The defender featured prominently for Dave Penney's side in the early weeks of this term, but he was rocked in his tracks by an Achilles problem.

Ryan has been out of action for the last two months but, with the problem showing no signs of improvement, he has been told surgery is the best course of action.

The stopper went under the surgeon's knife on Tuesday, but has not been told how long he will be sidelined for.
