Wizards aim to keep Wolff
Kansas City Wizards have insisted they have no plans to sell Josh Wolff to Everton.
Kansas City Wizards have insisted they have no plans to sell Josh Wolff to Everton in January. The rumour mill moved into full swing last week when it emerged Wolff had been training with Everton.
The forward raised his profile in Britain when scoring for United States against Scotland recently and reports suggested he was looking to take advantage of his new standing by securing a move to Everton.
The Wizards have been made aware of the reports, but do not envisage losing the 28-year-old in January.
"[Training with Everton] is something he came to me and asked to do," Wizards general manager Curt Johnson told The Kansas City Star.
"The bottom line is he has stated his intent to stay here and, obviously, contractually we have him under contract [for three more season]. I don't think it's an issue in that regard."
