AZ Alkmaar's Kew Jaliens has agreed a new deal with the Eredivisie club.

AZ Alkmaar's Kew Jaliens has agreed a new deal with the Eredivisie club.

The 26-year-old was signed on a Bosman free transfer in the summer of 2004 and was still under contract to AZ.

However, the defender has agreed fresh terms that will run until 2008.

Jaliens was called into the Holland squad for the first time in his career this month, although he did not get to make his debut in the high-profile friendly with Italy.

The former Sparta Rotterdam man has played 249 times in the Dutch league.
