Sorin still sad at PSG exit
Juan Pablo Sorin has revealed he never wanted to leave Paris Saint Germain.
Juan Pablo Sorin has revealed he never wanted to leave Paris Saint Germain. The Argentine international, who is currently at Villarreal, left PSG under a cloud after a successful spell on loan at the French capital from Cruzeiro.
Sorin has now revealed the demands of then PSG coach Vahid Halilhodzic prevented him from staying at Parc Des Princes.
The talented full back claims Halilhodzic would only sign him if he cut down on his international commitments, which the player refused to do.
"Paris could have seized the option to buy me from Cruzeiro, but Halilhodzic didn't make it happen," Sorin told L'Equipe.
"He said I wanted to earn too much money. That is false. I have no agent and no one knows what happened better than me.
"Mr Halilhodzic set the condition that I have to give up some matches with the Argentinian team. But you can't negotiate that.
"The Argentina team is above everything."
Sorin revealed he would one day like to return to PSG if possible.
"I don't know if it would be possible, but I would like to play again at Paris one day," added Sorin.
"I have a feeling of unfulfillment."
