Impey aims to end on a high

Andy Impey is looking to end his career as a Coventry regular.

Coventry midfielder Andy Impey is looking to end his career as a Sky Blues regular after revealing he plans to hang up his boots at the end of the season.

The 34-year-old numbers Queens Park Rangers, West Ham, Leicester, Nottingham Forest and Millwall among his former clubs and joined The Sky Blues on a free transfer in September.

He is on non-contract forms at The Ricoh Arena and admits it is strange not having the security of a long-term deal, but is determined to have a productive final season in professional football.

"I've never been on non-contract terms before but it's a case of getting on with it really," said Impey.

"It's not ideal but I'll just get on with it because I just want to play football.

"I'm finishing at the end of the season so I just want to play."
