Rummenigge slams Juve methods

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has criticised the way Juventus approached Willy Sagnol.

Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has criticised Juventus for their dealings in the Willy Sagnol affair.

Rummenigge even branded their methods as being like the Mafia, referring to what he sees as an underhand approach to their French defender.

Sagnol looks set to leave Bayern and join Juve when his contract expires next summer, but the German supremo is far from happy with the way Juventus general manager Luciano Moggi has conducted his business.

"I don't want to talk with Luciano Moggi again," said Rummenigge.

"At Juve they aren't gentlemen, it's more like the Mafia."

Moggi has hit back immediately, dismissing Rummenigge's claims as utter rubbish.

"He's wrong. I don't know what Rummenigge means about our Mafia ways. I have no idea why he defines our work in this way. We haven't robbed any player," fumed Moggi.
