Kuyt 'no' to Madrid

Reports in Holland claim Feyenoord's Dirk Kuyt is ready to snub Real Madrid in January.

Reports in Holland suggest that Feyenoord hot-shot Dirk Kuyt has made clear his intention to stay in De Eredivisie until the end of the season, ignoring interest from Spanish giants Real Madrid.

The prolific striker has emerged as one of Holland's hottest talents and has attracted interest from all over Europe for his goalscoring exploits.

Premiership side Tottenham were rebuffed by the Dutch international in the summer, and reports now suggest that Kuyt is now ready to snub further interest from the Primera Liga outfit.

After a long term injury to skipper Raul, Los Merengues were believed to be considering a transfer window move for Kuyt in a bid to boost their striking options.

However Kuyt is keen to maintain his place in Marco van Basten's World Cup squad, and has reputedly informed Feyenoord coach Erwin Koeman he intends to stay at De Kuip until the summer.
