Saha content at United

Louis Saha's agent has confirmed his client has no intention of quitting Old Trafford.

Louis Saha's father, who also acts as his agent, has confirmed his son has no intention of quitting Old Trafford.

The France international has been linked with loan moves back to his homeland, with some reports also linking him with a January switch to West Ham.

However, in midweek, Saha was handed a rare start in United's Carling Cup quarter final clash with Birmingham and responded by blasting a two-goal salvo that will act as a timely reminder of his capabilities.

Vincent Saha, aware of the speculation, has now confirmed that his son will fight to claim a regular starting berth in Manchester.

"It's true plenty of clubs want to sign him," said Saha senior.

''But Louis knows he has shown United only 65 percent of his potential because of injuries.

''Sir Alex has been patient at a time when things have not always been easy and Louis want to give him all the support he can.

''He prefers English football to any other and still has more than two years left on his deal with United.''

Meanwhile, the player has echoed the words of his father, pledging to prove his detractors wrong.

''This has been the worst part of my career but I just want to come back - I want to come back a better player.''
