Angelos Basinas is once again in talks over a move to England.
Angelos Basinas is once again in talks over a move to England with Everton entering the chase for his signature.The Greek star has previously been close to joining Portsmouth and Birmingham City, but those moves fell through.
Most recently, he was in talks with West Ham - but again a deal failed to materialise, even though the midfielder seemed confident of clinching a move to Upton Park.
Now Everton are said to be keen on tying up a deal for the 29-year-old - who was released by Panathinaikos in September and is very interested in pursuing a fresh challenge in England.
Greek reports suggest Basinas will travel to Liverpool over the next few days to open dialogue with David Moyes and discuss a possible switch to Merseyside.
Everton will look to strengthen their squad when the transfer window opens in January and Basinas is emerging as the type of combative midfielder Moyes admires.
Former Toffees favourite Thomas Gravesen has also been linked with a return to the club from Real Madrid, although these reports have been played down by the Denmark international.
