Konjic to leave Derby

Derby are set to part company with Bosnian defender Mo Konjic.

The 35-year-old defender has played just 19 games for the club since joining from Coventry - mainly due to injury.

Now the club are in discussions to terminate the remainder of Konjic's deal.

"The proximity of the transfer window means it's important to conclude negotiations with Mo Konjic as soon as possible," said Phil Brown.

The Derby chief also admitted that Paul Boertien's time with The Rams could be coming to an end.

"Paul Boertien is fit and he must start forcing his way into the first team over the festive period of fixtures and if not, he could move elsewhere during January," he added.
