Brothers face Racing wrath
Stephane and Wilfried Dalmat are facing disciplinary action at Racing Santander.
Brothers Stephane and Wilfried Dalmat are facing disciplinary action from Racing Santander after returning from their Christmas holidays four days late. The Primera outfit have launched an internal disciplinary enquiry against the Frenchmen and have warned their agent that they have no intention of retaining the services of players who are not committed to the club.
Both the brothers joined Racing last summer from French football; Stephane from Toulouse and Wilfried (pictured) from Grenoble.
However, both have struggled to make an impression and patience at El Sardinero appears to be dwindling.
"They should have returned last Thursday, but they showed no signs of life," blasted Racing president Manuel Huerta. "Until yesterday (Monday), we heard nothing from them.
"At Racing we do not want players who are not committed, who only show their form and desire from time to time. We can't allow that luxury.
"Every player at Racing has to be with us and ready to sacrifice everything for the team."
The pair seem certain to face harsh disciplinary action and could even be shipped out of the club during the January transfer window.
