Sebastian Kehl has signed a new two-year contract extension with Borussia Dortmund.

German international midfielder Sebastian Kehl has signed a new two-year contract extension with Borussia Dortmund.

The combative 25-year-old put pen-to-paper on a contract on Wednesday keeping him at the Signal Iduna Stadium until June 2008.

"I belong here and really identify myself with the club and its fans," Kehl told BVB's official website.

"I'm confident that we will continue our improvement this season and will be able to challenge for European places in the near future."

Kehl joined Dortmund from SC Freiburg in January 2002 and has made a total of 113 Bundesliga appearances for the 1997 European champions, scoring seven goals.
