Partizan Belgrade are exploring the prospect of signing former midfielder Zvonimir Vukic from Portsmouth.

Major changes are afoot at Fratton Park as Harry Redknapp wheels and deals in the transfer market this month and Vukic could be deemed surplus to requirements.

The South Coast side are willing to listen to offers for the former Shakhtar Donetsk man, who scored in the 4-1 win at Sunderland in October.

Partizan director Nenad Bjekovic is desperately looking to improve his side and is also chasing Hannover's Thomas Christiansen.

The 33-year-old former Bochum striker is on Bjekovic's wish list but Vukic could be the player asked to supply the ammunition.

"We plan to strengthen our midfield with a Serbian player who plays in a foreign league," admitted Bjekovic recently.
