Czech looks to impress
Czech Michal Papadopulos is keen to shine after moving to Bayer Leverkusen.
Czech striker Michal Papadopulos is looking to break into the first team at Bayer Leverkusen after signing for the club in December.
The 20-year-old joined the club from Banik Ostrava, where he netted five goals in 14 appearances last term.
The Czech Under-21 regular has also had a spell at Arsenal but failed to make an impression before moving on.
However, Papadopulos feels he is a better player for the experience.
"I certainly take this job different from the Arsenal one," Papadopulos said.
"When I came to London, three years ago, it was a big jump for me, I had huge respect for everything.
"I am now more experienced, so, hopefully it will also be seen on the pitch."
With the second half of the Die Bundesliga starting in two weeks, the powerful forward is keen to be in the reckoning for the home match with Eintracht Frankfurt. The only obstacle for Papadopulos is the talented attacking arsenal already at the club.
"It is really tough. Everyone wants to play but I am a realist, I will remain patient," said the young front-man.
"If I'm not in the starting line up, it will not be a tragedy. I will wait for my chance."
Leverkusen face Eintracht Frankfurt at the BayArena in their next league outing.
