Hislop: T&T can cause a shock
West Ham goalkeeper Shaka Hislop cannot wait for this summer's World Cup.
West Ham goalkeeper Shaka Hislop has revealed that he cannot wait for his chance to compete at this summer's World Cup in Germany.
The 36-year-old has also warned other countries not to underestimate the Caribbean side as they are not heading to the tournament just to roll over.
"We will bring a lot of colour to this summer's events but I also believe we will open an eye or two on the football field," Hislop said.
"We have some very talented players and as a squad I'm sure we have a few surprises up our sleeves.
"It's a summer that me as a player, us as a squad and Trinidad and Tobago as a country has dreamt of since we started kicking a football about.
"It's going to be long, hard and very difficult but at the end of it I think it will be very, very rewarding."
Trinidad and Tobago are due to play Iceland at Loftus Road next month in preparation for their World Cup debut.
