Koke pops up in Portugal
Marseille forward Koke has joined Sporting on loan for the rest of the season.
Spanish forward Koke has ended his unsuccessful spell at Marseille by sealing a loan move to Sporting. After passing a medical and agreeing terms Koke has penned a loan deal until the end of the season with the Portuguese outfit - with an option to make the move permanent in June.
Celta Vigo had been linked with an interest in the former Malaga man, whilst Serie A giants Juventus had been mulling over a shock swoop.
However Koke decided against moving to Stadio Delle Alpi after realising he would have to first join Siena on loan if he wanted to link up with The Bianconeri.
Koke will now try his luck in Portugal as he looks to put an underwhelming spell at l'OM behind him.
"I want to play," said the striker. "This is my only objective in football."
The 22-year-old will go into the squad for the derby clash with Benfica at the weekend.
