Koller happy with recovery
Borussia Dortmund's Jan Koller believes his recovery from long-term injury is on track.
Czech Republic hit-man Jan Koller believes his recovery from long-term injury is on track, although he is not raising his hopes of making this summer's World Cup.The Borussia Dortmund striker has been on the sidelines since September after he suffered the cruciate knee ligament injury against Mainz.
Koller is now free from pain and is hopeful of leaving his rehabilitation centre in Regensburg in March and returning to Dortmund.
"The recovery process is going well," explained Koller to Idnes. "It doesn't hurt anymore.
"I've worked my leg for two days now, so I'm going to see how it reacts. It's been okay so far.
"I'll be here until the middle of March, then I should be able to continue my recovery in Dortmund."
It was thought Koller may retire from international duty after the World Cup in Germany, but the tall striker is happy to continue playing for his country.
"If I don't make it, nothing changes," he added. "If I don't play and if I'm in good shape then I would like to continue playing for the national team."
