QPR land Danish striker

Sammy Youssouf has joined Queens Park Rangers on a short-term deal.

Queens Park Rangers have completed the signing of Sammy Youssouf on a short-term deal.

The Danish striker has been training at the club and impressed manager Ian Holloway enough to give the player a deal until the end of the season.

Youssouf had a brief spell at Southampton in 2002 and spent some time on trial with Ipswich in December.

However, Holloway has pounced to sign the 29-year old to boost his attacking options as his side push for a top-half finish in the Championship.

"We played him in a match situation and he really impressed me," Holloway told the club's official website. "We have signed him until the end of the season so we can have a good look at him."

Meanwhile, Rangers youngster Ryan Johnson has joined Conference side Dagenham & Redbridge on a Work Experience basis.

The 19-year-old will look to gain valuable experience during his one-month spell with the club.
