York City trialist Nathan Joynes put in an impressive performance for their reserve team in a 3-0 win over Sheffield United's reserves.

The 19-year-old Barnsley striker scored one and set-up another in an inspiring performance which was sure to have caught the eye of the on-looking York manager Billy McEwan.

McEwan is keen to strengthen his squad following The Ministermen's recent dip in form.

Joynes has struggled to get any first-team action at Oakwell and went on trial at Scarborough earlier in the season.
