Werder Bremen captain Frank Baumann has signed a new three-year deal.
Werder Bremen captain Frank Baumann has signed a new three-year deal at the Weserstadion.
The 30-year-old Germany international defender has put pen-to-paper on a new contract which will tie Baumann to the club until 2009.
Bremen's sporting director Klaus Allofs stated: "I am delighted that we have managed to keep such an important player.
"Frank Baumann has been our captain for several years and has played an integral role in our increasing success."
Baumann joined Werder Bremen from Nurnberg in 1999 and led the team to a League and Cup Double in 2004.
