The France Under-21 international was close to sealing a move to French champions Lyon during the January transfer window only for the move to fall through at the last minute.

Then Caen pulled the plug on the transfer but news of Arsenal's interest may prompt the Ligue 2 side to consider cashing in on Zubar.

Gunners manager Arsene Wenger has eyed Zubar with the long-term aim of using the 20-year-old in tandem with Philippe Senderos at the heart of a youthful back-line.

That is a scenario that would appeal to Zubar, although the young prospect is determined to keep his feet on the ground.

"It would be a kid's dream. But I don't get mad about it - we will see in time," Zubar told France Football.
