AZ make Dembele approach
Dutch side AZ have approached Willem II about striker Moussa Dembele.
Dutch Eredivisie side AZ Alkmaar have made an official approach to Willem II regarding the availability of striker Moussa Dembele.
The 18-year-old had already been linked with a host of clubs earlier in the week including AZ, Feyenoord, Celta Vigo and Monaco, but it is AZ who have been first to publicly make their interest known by lodging a firm inquiry.
The Belgian forward was signed from Germinal Beerschot last summer, and, despite having a relatively slow campaign in terms of goals with only four strikes in 21 appearances, it is the youngster's all-round play which has attracted the attention of other teams.
The promising attacker is still contracted to Willem until the summer of 2007, but a significant bid would represent good business for the Tricolores, who picked up Dembelle for a nominal fee only a matter of months ago.
