Chester trial Harrison

New Chester boss Mark Wright has handed a trial to Paul Harrison.

New Chester boss Mark Wright has handed a trial to former Wolves goalkeeper Paul Harrison.

The 21-year-old is without a club after being deemed surplus to requirements at Championship outfit Wolves.

Harrison, who started his career at Liverpool, played for the club's second string in midweek and impressed in saving a penalty.

Chester chairman Stephen Vaughan has now confirmed that a deal could soon be struck whereby Harrison signs on a permanent basis.

''Paul impressed us when he was on trial down here at the start of the season, but we lost out to Wolves. However, he is now a free agent again and we are certainly interested in acquiring his services,'' Vaughan told the Daily Post.
