Strasbourg starlet Kevin Gameiro has been ruled out for the rest of the season after suffering knee ligament damage.The 18-year-old has made a positive impression during the current campaign at Stade de la Meinau despite Strasbourg's struggles in Ligue 1.
His debut season had been progressing in an encouraging fashion, but Gameiro will now undergo surgery on Wednesday in a bid to correct a knee ligament injury.
The striker is expected to be out for several months and will be unable to help Racing make up a four-point gap on 17th placed Troyes.
