Hibernian striker Garry O'Connor has completed a lucrative move to Lokomotiv Moscow.The Scotland international will become the first British player to play in the Russian top flight after putting pen-to-paper on a five-year deal.
Lokomotiv have confirmed that personal terms have been agreed, with Hibernian believed to be receiving a fee in the region of £1.6 million.
O'Connor too does not look to have been short changed by the move, with the 22-year-old expected to net £16,000-a-week after tax.
Lokomotiv have been busy in the transfer market in recent weeks, with several new arrivals - along with O'Connor - to report to the club's training camp in Spain on Tuesday.
The Russian big spenders have also bought Croat Emir Spahic, Slovakian Marian Had, Serbian Branislav Ivanovic, Ghanaian Larry Kingston, Malian Draman Traore and Brazilian Selsinho in preparation for the start of the new season that commences on March 18.
