Charisteas eyes Ajax exit
Angelos Charisteas is reportedly thinking of leaving Ajax this summer.
Angelos Charisteas is reportedly eyeing a move away from Ajax this summer. The Greece international is currently third choice striker behind Klaas Jan Huntelaar and Markus Rosenberg, despite an impressive scoring record of seven goals from 13 appearances.
Huntelaar has been even more prolific since arriving from Heerenveen in January, netting 11 times from just 10 starts, while Rosenberg is regarded as an integral member of the team.
Charisteas has only been used as a substitute in recent weeks, and with things showing no sign of change, he is considering his options.
The 26-year-old previously played for Bundesliga outfit Werder Bremen, and a return to Germany is believed to be the likeliest outcome.
