Hoddle tips Lescott

Glenn Hoddle has insisted that Joleon Lescott could make it in The Premiership.

Wolves boss Glenn Hoddle has insisted that Joleon Lescott could make it in The Premiership.

Everton are reported to have joined a band of clubs keeping tabs on the 23-year-old.

Arsenal, Manchester City and Middlesbrough are all understood to be monitoring Lescott's progress.

The former England Under-21 man has had an injury plagued career to-date, but his talent has never been called into question - however he is now playing on a regular basis and is at the top of his game.

Hoddle has no doubts Lescott could make it at a higher level.

"Joleon's a better player than some of the Premiership defenders - he's excellent," he said.
